GREETING AND WELCOME
TIME OF CENTERING PRAYER
Leader: We come today from different places,
different moods, different
mornings.
People: Some are hectic and rushed,
others quiet, perhaps forlorn.
Regardless, we are loved equally
in God’s eyes.
Leader: We pray for health or happiness;
some pray for strength or support.
People: We pray in joy and hope and
longing, and God hears each prayer
the same.
Leader: We worship with different voices
and talents, and we lift up our hearts
united in praise.
All: Each one of us is
unique and beloved; together we praise God who
welcomes our worship as one.
**HYMN #657 (UMH)............................................................... “this is the day” (completed twice)
Who are we to get in your way, Holy God? We imprison others with our unmet
expectations, and you set them free with a Word. We build walls around those we
don't know, and you tear them down. We struggle to love others because the world
tells us to hate those who disagree with us. Who are we get in the way of your
forgiveness offered to all! We fail to be witnesses for you because we are prideful and
self-serving, but we know you still love us. So give us your vision that sees everything
through
your eyes as we seek to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

PRAYER CONCERNS/PASTORAL PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
AMEN.
I cast all my cares upon you, I lay all of my burdens down at your feet, and anytime
that I don't know what to do, I will cast all my cares upon you.
