OPENING
TIME OF CENTERING PRAYER
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With
thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary
for you.
Leader: In the beginning, God called the world
into being, saying,
People: “Let there be light!”
Leader: In the fullness of time, Jesus came from
God to us, saying,
Leader: In our everyday life, we see the work of
the saints among us,
People: So let us give thanks for the saints
among us,
Leader: We gather this morning remembering the
saints who have gone
on to glory who taught us to
be faithful disciples.
Leader: We gather here to celebrate those past
and present who have
nurtured an active and living
faith in us.
All: With gratitude for all the saints,
let us worship God. AMEN
**HYMN #711 (UMH)................................................................................................... “FOR
ALL THE SAINTS”
Eternal God, hope of all who trust in you, in Christ you weep with those
who mourn even as you cry out in triumph over the grave. Unbind us from
sin, release us from captivity, and with Lazarus, raise us from death to life,
so that we may join that great crowd of saints who forever sing praise to
your holy name; through Christ, the resurrection and the life. AMEN.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace; where the Spirit of the Lord
is, there is love. There is comfort in life’s darkest hour; there is light and life,
there is help and power in the Spirit, in the
Spirit of the Lord.

We bless your holy name, O God, for all your servants who, having finished their
course, now rest from their labors. Give us grace to follow the example of their
steadfastness and faithfulness, to your honor and glory; through Christ Jesus
our Lord. AMEN.
I cast all my cares
upon you, I lay all of my burdens down at your feet,
and anytime that I
don't know what to do, I will cast all my cares upon you.

THANKSGIVING (UMH PAGE 15)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. AMEN.
